Custom crash cage for YZF-R125

Since there’s no crash/stunt-cages available for the R125 and I was learning wheelies I figured I best make one. It builds on the metal frame of the R+G crash bungs but instead of the bungs that becomes the top mount of the cage, wiht the second one mounting onto the front of the motor, and then with a bit if niftyness also anchored to the hinge for the rear swingarm.

The cage itself comes as 2 triangles which are mounted on rubber dampers so that in the event of an impact the shock is not transmitted directly to the frame or engine. I’ve not actually crashed properly since adding it so I can’t speak top how well it works yet but it’s withstood a couple of years of riding in all conditions and also provides a handy lifting point to raise the front wheel of the bike without a lift (with special inserts I also made).

It took about 4 days to make start to finish, so quite a time consuming process but it fits the bike exactly and seems very sturdy so far.
